“Bespoke jewellery” means any item of jewellery that is created by us in accordance with the customer’s specifications, or an original model that is customised based on the customer’s input. Special terms and conditions apply to such purchases. Noctua Jewellery & Workshops reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions at any time. Users are responsible for keeping themselves updated on any changes. By placing an order for bespoke jewellery, you confirm that you have read and accepted the below Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

  1. We will provide one free estimated quote and a simple rendition of your bespoke jewellery, any further alterations to quotes and the design will be charged at £20 per rendition or re-quote. Production will begin once the final design has been agreed and payment has been made in full. Payment should be made by VISA, Mastercard or PayPal through a payment link provided by Noctua Jewellery & Workshops.

  2. The quote given will be either a fixed price or an estimated price with the final total to be confirmed after completion. If you are given an estimated price you will pay the total minimum amount in full, in advance and the final amount after completion. If you are given a fixed price you will pay the total in full. Production will not start until either of the above payment have been completed.

  3. The time of delivery will vary depending on the complexity of the item, and the time required by Noctua Jewellery & Workshops and the maker to create the jewellery. Delivery time will be agreed with each individual customer. Delays may occur for different reasons, but we do our best to keep the customer informed about changes in the schedule.

  4. Bespoke and engraved items are considered special orders and they are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If the damage or error was present upon arrival Noctua Jewellery & Workshops reserves the right to repair or adjust the product so it fits with the initial agreement with the customer. A resizing / alteration service is available (depending on the item and technique in question.) This service may incur a fee. If we are not measuring your ring size for you, we strongly recommend that measurements are taken by a professional jeweller. Noctua Jewellery & Workshops are not responsible for any inaccuracy with regards to measuring and sizing.

  5. Once an idea (manifested in an image/sketch combined with written correspondence) has been agreed on, the client has to honour this agreement. Noctua Jewellery & workshops cannot be held accountable for changes to personal views on the original idea after work on the piece has commenced. We will match the idea/sketch as closely as possible when translated into your jewellery item, but please bear in mind that any sketches are just an indication of how the finished jewellery will look. Since the jewellery is hand-made, some variations from the sketch to the final, finished item can occur.

  6. If a client would like to use a pre-owned stone, they must first, send photos of the stones (or schedule an in-person meeting with Brittany), and provide detailed information about stone type, carat weight, any certifications (GIA, etc) and current mounting. Stone requests are approved on a case by case basis, and an additional fee will be charged (price determined with client depending on the stone). The client agrees that there is reasonable risk involved in removing stones from mountings and resetting stones. It is the responsibility of Noctua Jewellery & Workshops to assess any risk regarding your stone, and advise the client on any foreseeable issues before moving forward with stone resetting. By providing consent for Noctua Jewellery & Workshops to reset a pre-existing gemstone, the customer holds harmless Noctua Jewellery & workshop against any stone damage due to stone flaws or existing stone cracks, chipping, flaws, or inclusions. If a client chooses to use their own stones and ships them directly to Noctua Jewellery & Workshops, the customer will select its own shipping carrier, negotiate rates, shipping terms, and remit payment directly to the shipping provider. The customer will be encouraged to purchase shipping insurance, and understands that Noctua Jewellery & workshops will not purchase shipping insurance on the customer's behalf. The customer assumes all liability associated with this shipment, and hereby holds harmless Noctua Jewellery & Workshops and all of their deemed agents against any claims for loss or damage. Any claims that need to be made for lost or damaged shipments will by the customer's responsibility.

  7. The contract of sales is concluded when you accept these Terms and Conditions and pre-payment has been received by Noctua Jewellery & workshops. Our Terms and Conditions are available on our website for your reference at any time.

  8. We are unable to accept cancellations on bespoke, customised or personalised orders already in production. We reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange on goods ordered in error.
