What’s included: All of the materials & tuition needed to create a signet ring in silver

What you will make

You’ll be provided with all the materials in order to carve your design in wax, cast your ring and finish your own unique silver signet ring, using wax carving and sand casting techniques.

Your unique piece of jewellery will be ready to take home (or wear!) immediately after the workshop

What you will learn

We’ll start things off by designing what you would like your ring to look like. Do you want to include initials, a symbol or perhaps flowers or leaves on your ring? The design is entirely up to you.

You will then carve your design into wax on the first day and cast your ring in silver on the second. The ring will then be finished and polished as desired.

You will also have the option of having your ring engraved or stone-set.

Members of the Noctua team will be on hand throughout this process to support, advise and teach you the skills needed while allowing you to make your item independently.

Other information

This is a very interactive workshop which is suitable for complete beginners and people with prior experience of jewellery making. Everyone is welcome!

If you need glasses for reading then we recommend you bring them on the day, and we also recommend wearing old clothes. You will need to wear closed-toe shoes and tie up long hair. We do not have a strict age limit but please enquire before booking a class for anyone under the age of 16 to confirm that the workshop is suitable for children. All under 16s will need to be accompanied by a participating adult.
