What’s included: All of the materials & tuition needed to create two 14ct yellow gold stacking rings.

Difficulty level: Complete beginner

Duration: Half a day (11am - 3pm)

Where: In our cosy studio in Liverpool at 34 Regent Street, L3 7BN

What you will make

You’ll be making two slim stacking rings in 14ct yellow gold, set with the highest quality rose-cut stones, using traditional techniques.

Keen participants will also have the option to make additional rings in the workshop. You must arrange this online while booking as we need to order the gold prior to the workshop.

What you will learn

During the class, you will practice a range of traditional techniques.

We’ll start things off by sizing the ring and measuring the gold needed, before filing and shaping the gold. Then you’ll use a blowtorch to solder it, adding unique textures with our collection of hammers, before polishing the ring to your desired shine and finally setting the stone (the traditional way - without glue!).

Members of the Noctua team will be on hand throughout this process to support, advise and teach you the skills needed while allowing you to make the ring independently. Participants can choose from our wide range of specially curated rose-cut gemstones on the day.

Other information

This is a very interactive workshop which is suitable for complete beginners and people with prior experience of jewellery making. Everyone is welcome!

If you need glasses for reading then we recommend you bring them on the day, and we also recommend wearing old clothes. You will need to wear closed-toe shoes and tie up long hair. We do not have a strict age limit but please enquire before booking a class for anyone under the age of 16 to confirm that the workshop is suitable for children. All under 16s will need to be accompanied by a participating adult.

Prices are per person.
