What’s included: Metals to practice your designs and all of the tools required to recycle your jewellery

Difficulty level: Beginner to advanced, the designs you can make will depend on your skill level

Duration: Two full days, approximately 7 hours each day

Where: At our beautiful Liverpool studio at 34 Regent Street, L3 7BN

You will need to bring your own jewellery and scrap to recycle for this workshop, if you would like any advice on what to bring please message us!

Day one will be focused on melting down and milling our your metal into the wire or sheet that you need, this includes:

- Planning which metal is suitable for recycling.
- Weighing your metal.
- Designs and planning.
- Removing stones and solder.
- Melting your metal into ingots.
-Milling and drawing your ingot into your desired shapes.

Day two will be all about making your pieces, this will include:

- Preparing your metal to be worked.
- Finalising your designs.
- Creating your designs.

What metal can be recycled

Sterling silver and real gold of any karat can be used.
Plated jewellery, chains, and highly contaminated scrap cannot be recycled during this workshop.

Other information
This is a very interactive workshop which is suitable for all skill levels and prior experience of jewellery making.

If you need glasses for reading then we recommend you bring them on the day, and we also recommend wearing old clothes. You will need to wear closed-toe shoes and tie up long hair. We do not have a strict age limit.

Prices are per person.

As tempting as it may be to have a tipple in some of our fabulous venues we request that you do not drink alcohol before or during the workshop for health and safety reasons. In doing so you will be asked to leave the workshop without a refund.
